Did You Know?

Did you know that sitting type toilets first appeared during the Harappa civilization in Lothal (62 km from the city of Ahmedabad) in India, around 2500 BC.

Did you know that it was not until 1870 that the first flush type toilet called "optims" was invented by SS Helior.

Product Summary

The Witloo dual-flush system is easy to install and is extremely durable. The special flapper valve and unique-design toilet-handle can be installed as simply as you would replace any normal flapper valve and handle on a standard toilet.

The Flush…More or Less dual-flush retro-fit conversion kit attaches to an existing toilet to create a water-saving "half flush" as a default option, yet still enabling a standard "full flush" when necessary. This product will significantly reduce the amount of water wasted (up to 67% less water is required for a "half flush") by allowing the user to select the preferred flush option for different situations. The Witloo device has both environmental and financial benefits—it helps the environment by conserving the rapidly-diminishing freshwater resources in North America in addition to allowing consumers to save money on their water bill.

The future holds many great opportunities for the Witloo Dual-flush retro-fit conversion kit to further evolve into a better product. Refinement to make the kit by-large universal is always an open option, as toilet designs vary greatly throughout the world. The design could be improved in terms of user-friendliness, as the possibility of an auto-return mechanism can still be researched. Other feasible materials can also be explored. Aside from improving the current product design, future plans also include an exploration of mass-manufacturing methods and a focus on how the kit can be built quicker and more efficiently. Further work in the domain of water conservation in the bathroom includes an exploration of alternate solutions to reduce water consumption in toilets.
